Directions
The Deelish Cascades Walk is an easy linear walk which follows the old mass path along the banks of the Ilen River, with its cascades, cliffs and patchwork field systems. You get a real feel for the river, with its cascades, dippers and occasionally an otter. Start from Castle Donovan car park, follow the road westwards, signposted to Bantry, for about 300m. On the left you will find a metal access gate to the fields which is clearly signposted. Follow the green arrows, The walk continues along the riverside until you come to a sharp hairpin bend followed by a small incline. This leads you away from the river to where the path joins a quiet country road which leads you to the walks end at the Ahanafunsion bridge picnic area.
