Directions
Follow the blue arrows west on the road until you see the turn off after 300m. This is a truly beautiful walk to the tip of the Sheep’s Head, past the lovely Lough Akeen, travel on downhill to the Helicopter pad, where you will see signs to lead you to the lighthouse steps. You can climb down the steps to the lighthouse – and the views & selfies are worth it. Return to the helicopter pad, and continue the loop walk back on the northern side of the peninsula to the car park. Note – for the less able, you can return on the same path back to the car park.
